  2. What is Cambria made of?

Cambria is pure, natural quartz, a stone right from the earth. Quartz is one of the hardest and most common minerals on earth, giving Cambria the rare combination of superior beauty and strength.

  3. How does Cambria compare to granite?

Cambria is quartz, a natural stone. You get the look and feel of granite, but it is completely non-porous. So Cambria maintenance is simple, just wash it with warm water. It won't stain, and it never needs sealing or reconditioning. Granite is a porous stone. It needs to be sealed regularly with a chemical treatment. It can absorb liquids and food, risking potential staining and bacterial growth in the countertop.

  4. How does Cambria compare to Corian® or other plastic solid surfaces?

Cambria is pure natural quartz, a stone crystal mined from the earth. Corian® is 100% plastic polymer, it has NO stone in it. Cambria gives you the timeless beauty of natural stone with a harder and more durable surface.

  5. How is Cambria different from other Quartz surfaces?

Cambria is the ONLY quartz product produced in the United States of America, all of the other products are imported. Therefore, Cambria's color options are also significantly different, reflecting our knowledge and responsiveness to the American marketplace. Additionally, Cambria is a family owned company with over 60 years of manufacturing experience bringing a new perspective and approach to the countertop industry.

  6. How does Cambria's price compare to other natural stone or solid surface competitors? What does it cost?

Generally, Cambria prices are comparable to granite and other high-end countertop options. Our trade customers such as Kitchen and Bath dealers, fabricators, and contractors establish Cambria retail prices. The price varies based on the requirements for each particular project (seams, cutouts, backsplash, etc), and can vary by region of the country. Cambria works hard to provide simple pricing to all of our trade customers. For example, unlike other products, all Cambria colors are sold at the same price. Because most other products have complex pricing schemes that vary by color and edge, we recommend that you compare quotes for various surface options to correctly evaluate Cambria pricing.

    Back

  10. Is Cambria made or manufactured in a plant?

The Cambria facility produces natural quartz into slabs. We take pure natural quartz mined out of the earth and combine it with a small amount of pigment and resin to create a slab of uncommon beauty and strength. This is done in our facility in LeSueur, Minnesota, the only one of its kind in the United States. By recombining the quartz in our facility, we are able to recreate the slabs to make them completely non-porous.
